A messy hit turns into a shoot-out, and hitman Barnie Briggs kills the wrong man. Private investigator Terry Sheeran meets a mysterious client at a truck-stop in France, who has a novel proposition: find out if the assassination was really a terrible mistake and if not who benefits. It's an assignment that leaves Sheeran with a bad taste in his mouth. When he finds himself in the middle of an out of control gang war it becomes personal and in the race to find out if Briggs was set up, Sheeran begins to wonder if he is also a patsy.
