This story is told mostly as the log of a tree. Once I started it, I found my self rooted to my seat and didn't want to stop.. hehe.. ok ok. I'll leaf the tree jokes behind now. Seriously though, I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed the story. Due to the main character being a tree, the story can be kinda slow at times, but it is worth enduring and then it will become endearing. More characters that you care about will come about and then the story really opens up. Due to the nature of the timeline of a tree, it loosely reminds me of God Emperor of Dune which is one of the highest compliments I can give. So, go ahead, leaf caution to the wind and branch out to a new adventure. :)
