About this audiobook

Sometimes, death isn’t the worst of fates.

In a world where assassins operate in the shadows and sorcerers deal in souls, a contract to end Mara Fairwind’s life seems routine enough. So, when wealthy aeropreneur Rolen Fairwind approaches the Assassin Without a Name to eliminate his wife, he accepts without hesitation. After all, death is his trade, and questions are bad for business.

But this seemingly simple contract spirals into a deadly game of cat and mouse when the Nameless Assassin discovers he’s not the only hunter stalking Mrs. Fairwind. Jarek Blackwell, an agent of the notorious Sorcerer’s League, seeks not just her death but her very soul—a fate that promises Mrs. Fairwind eternal torment at the hands of his employers.

Now, the Assassin Without a Name must race against time to grant Mara Fairwind a clean death before Blackwell can condemn her to an eternity of suffering. In a twisted turn of fate, the Nameless Assassin becomes an unlikely savior, proving that in this dark world, sometimes the kindest cut is the quickest.

The Assassin’s Dilemma is a standalone prequel to the Assassin Without a Name series.

This is a "Pretty Good" Prequel story, but it's not a: "Must read This before the 1st book" tale! It's described as an account of the Nameless Assassin's 1st Contract "hit" – which it isn't! —Sooo.. What Is It?! 🤔mmh, TBH, I've No Idea! "An exciting Short Story" is the best way I can think of to describe it, bearing in mind this was my introduction to the "Nameless Assassin" Stories/ Audiobooks, and it a bit "bare bones". But as a Fantasy Fiction Story, it was: light, engaging, well written & fast-paced, with nearly flawless narration by AI. Matt. — These 2023+ releases are great compared to AI. narrations from even 2020 - which could be quite drab & pretty monotone. In that respect, these stories by Scott Marlowe stand up well when compared to other Fantasy-Fiction Stories, even those read by Actors! - But these are Far Better priced !!😉 — 👍P0D Benn.
