The Roman Empire lasted a solid 500 years-an impressive number by any standard. The decline and final collapse of the Roman Empire took longer than most other empires even existed. Any historian trying to unearth the grand strategy of the Roman Empire must, therefore, always remain cognizant of the time scale. James Lacey is the author of several books on military history, terrorism, and current affairs, including The First Clash, Keep from All Thoughtful Men, and Takedown.

Joel Richards was the kid who did crazy things just to have a good story to tell afterward. On deciding to make his affection his profession, he received a BFA in acting and a BA in English from the University of Utah.
