Acerca de este audiolibro

This audiobook profiles the hottest rock 'n roll women, spanning the 1960s to current times - from Janis Joplin, Suzi Quatro and Chrissie Hynde to Courtney Love and Pink. With perceptive biographies and in-depth music critiques, author Alison Stieven-Taylor gives an up-close and personal look at the experiences, adventures and musical passions of these extraordinary and talented women whose wild vocals and on-stage antics have made them rock 'n roll legends. Through personal heartaches, drug addictions, public humiliations and private nightmares, these rock chicks have risen to take the music world by storm often facing great personal adversity - pressure and scrutiny that would have destroyed mere mortals.

Acerca del autor

Alison Stieven-Taylor has been a freelance journalist for over twenty-years, writing for publications as diverse as Cleo and Rolling Stone. She is also a photographic chronicler and published author.

Jane Clifton is the genuine show-business-all-rounder: actress, singer, and more recently, published crime novelist. Jane was born in Gibraltar, and emigrated to Australia in 1961. She has a BA from Monash University and was momentarily distracted from a career as an English teacher by Melbourne's alternative theatre and music scene. She is probably best known for the role of Margo in Prisoner. She went on to perform in a number of respected television dramas including Division 4 and Homicide. She also performed in the smash-hit stage shows Mum's the Word and Menopause the Musical, and in 2002, Jane published her first novel.
