He has twice won a National Magazine Award in Fiction and received the 2013 F. Scott Fitzgerald Award for Outstanding Achievement in American Literature.
Janet Burroway is the author of plays, poetry, and seven novels including Raw Silk, runner-up for the National Book Award. An NEA recipient, her most recent books are a collection of essays, Embalming Mom, and the texts Imaginative Writing and the sixth edition of Writing Fiction.
