Perfect Sampler of Speculative Fiction World-Building Considerations NOTE: This is about the book specifically, not the audiobook. What a wonderful book for writers of speculative fiction! In it, essentially, the author gives a tour of his 3 in-depth books on speculative fiction world building (most fantasy but some sci-fi). He has even divided these 185 tips into the subjects of the three books themselves, including even detailing which chapter the tips come from. This is the perfect way to sample what this author has to offer in his other books. I have read one of his full-length books and found it absolutely masterful in all that is shared; in that book, he spilled the beans about what an author should know about creating worlds and cultures when world building in a novel. The tips given in this book will take you far in your speculative fiction writing as you consider each of the elements of world building, determining the details that may be important in your story. If you want or need to go deeper into any subject, you know precisely which of this author's other book or books will help. If you are a speculative fiction writer, you should absolutely get this book. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Definitely a useful summary so far my only problem has been getting sidetracked by new ideas for worldbuilding.
