The Red Dog Conspiracy series is a steampunk fiction/ noir crime with a storyline that is amazing. A spellbinding series that is full of mystery, twists, suspense, blackmail, finding ailment cures, murder plotting, & plenty of secrets. If you like mystery, mobsters, corrupt police and a novice private eye you will love this very well written series. Narator Machelle Williams is a highly talented narator. Her inflection was smooth and on point and didn't falter at any point. I felt she portrayed the role of Jacqueline Spades perfectly. Her intonation was exactly what I would picture as Jacqueline's character. I felt like I was right there listening to everything occurring. With such a complex storyline and characters the narration is well adept. Absolutely loved her performance. I highly recommend listening to this audio boxset
