Everything that was starting to bother me about the last book was fixed in this book. I think the author is psychic. We finally get a chance to meet some strong female characters that are a positive influences on Seth and Evan. The fight scenes and the environments that Seth and Evan encounter were easier to visualize. I am also beginning to suspect that there will be a big reveal about why all the deputies ancestors targeted by the witches have chosen a specific type of life partner. I was excited to get to know some of the characters from Morgan Brice's other series. All of Brice's books seem to connect to together in some fashion. Once again the narration was enjoyable, and I look forward to the next book.
