Fong tackles questions that have major implications for China's future: whether its "Little Emperor" cohort will make for an entitled or risk-averse generation; how China will manage to support itself when one in every four people is over sixty-five years old; and above all, how much the one-child policy may end up hindering China's growth.
About the author
Mei Fong is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist with over a decade of reporting in Asia, most recently as China correspondent for the Wall Street Journal. She is a winner of Amnesty's Human Rights Press Award, a 2013 recipient of a Ford Foundation grant for investigative journalism, and a 2015 New America Fellow.
Janet Song is the recipient of multiple Earphones Awards from AudioFile magazine and was named one of their Best Voices of 2008. She was once cast in a feature film because the producer happened to be listening to an audiobook she narrated and just fell in love with her voice. Janet lives in Los Angeles.
