About this audiobook

He’s a Wall Street wolf. She’s been hired to tame him.

From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne comes a wildly sexy novel of business and pleasure.

Twenty-eight and filthy rich, Matt Cannon is the youngest broker on Wall Street. He may be a “boy wonder,” but he’s every inch a man. Ask any woman—any night. But when Matt’s latest fling makes scandalous headlines, his clients get anxious, and his bosses at Wolfe Investments level an ultimatum: keep his assets zipped, get a “real” girlfriend, and clean up his act. Only one woman can help Matt with something this hard.

For PR genius Sabrina Cross, the best fixer in Manhattan, playing Matt’s steady is going to be a challenge, even if it’s just for show. They already have an explosive history, she can’t stand the cocky party boy, and worse—she can’t stop thinking about him. So who will dare to break her “no touching” rule first? Because when that happens, Matt and Sabrina’s game of let’s pretend will get so hot it could set both their reputations on fire.

I love a good enemies to lovers trope. However, this one took it a step further and gave me an enemies with benefits story that I couldn’t help but gobble up in record time. Sabrina and Matt were just too electrifying when together and it’s obvious that they either had to argue or screw because of their intense chemistry. And so, for the past four years they’ve had one volatile relationship. It was actually quite charming in a fun masochistic way. Matt’s background was bizarre enough to warp any young man but Sabrina’s was horrifyingly tragic. Yet, watching these two together was pure enjoyment because despite their reasons for not believing in love, you know that’s exactly what’s going to happen if it hasn’t already. It’s just a matter of time before they become aware of it. The banter between this couple was fun and witty, sarcastic and sharp but definitely them in their truest form. They were an original hero and heroine unlike any I’ve read before. While Sabrina was strong, successful and independent, Matt was casual and laid back, a bit carefree in spite of his work ethic. He also turned out to be an amazing jealous, possessive hero and was given the perfect set up to prove it. I would have loved him for sure in that moment if I hadn’t already. I think this is a pretty fast paced read but because once I started I didn’t stop, I can’t say for sure because, you know…gobbling. The characters from the first book make a reappearance but you won’t feel lost if you don’t read it. This one can certainly stand alone. I do love the additional characters and I’m just so freaking antsy to get to Kennedy’s story. The very end felt a bit rushed but everything leading up to it was perfect. I’m not sure what more I wanted, because the epilogue was sweet and highlighted this couple’s dynamic. I think I just wanted more of Sabrina and Matt and was disappointed to see them go. At least until they revisit in the next book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Montlake. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title compliments of NetGalley and the publisher** I really enjoyed the first book in the 21 Wall Street series and I was anxiously awaiting the second book. I was not at all disappointed! These books are filled with great characters and you can't help but want to pull for them! Matt Cannon may still be young for someone in his position, but he is smart as a whip and has risen quickly through the ranks at the firm due to his brilliance. Where he isn't always as smart is in his personal life. A poor decision at the bachelor party he was attending in Vegas gets blown out of proportion and lands him on the front page of the Wall Street Journal and has predictably landed him in hot water with his bosses and put his ethics into question for the clients. His bosses tell him he has to clean up his act and fast. But how exactly will he do that? Sabrina Cross can fix just about anything and so when in doubt, Sabrina's your lady. When Matt finds himself in need, he calls in Sabrina, but knows it won't be all smooth sailing. While these two have known one another for years, they clash like nothing else due to past baggage. Even with that looming over them, Sabrina is the best at what she does and being able to act as Matt's girlfriend to help right his image is something she knows she can do. But the question is, can she keep feelings out of it and keep it strictly professional? I loved this book and the chemistry between Sabrina and Matt was evident from the get-go. It didn't matter if they were sparring or loving, the sparks were there and it was fun to hang on for the ride to see where they eventually ended up. I also can't wait to see what happens in the next installment. I'm hoping Kennedy gets out of his own way and finds happiness. This is such a fun series of books and one that I've quickly come to love.

Hard Sell puts the second of our wall street whizz kids, Matt, in the spotlight; and not a very flattering one at that.  Following a wild Vegas weekend of partying for his cousin's bachelor party, Matt finds his job on the line thanks to a less-than-flattering newspaper article. In any business perception is the heart of a good/bad reputation, so when the proverbial shizz hits the fan and clients start dropping like flies, Matt needs a fast image makeover. Unfortunately for Matt the best person for the job also hates him. Sabrina and Matt have had frenemies with benefits thing going on since they met. the chemistry and attraction have never been a problem; however, Matt's ability to put his foot in his mouth is another matter. Following their first hook-up, Matt's lack of tact touched on a raw nerve for Sabrina creating a lasting animosity between the pair. However, Sabrina is the best in the PR world and also best friends with Ian (Hot Asset) who also happens to be BF's with Matt. As such Matt and Sabrina inevitably cross paths a lot in their friendship groups; to make life easier on their friends, Sabrina agrees to help Matt appear as a dependable boyfriend. Hoping it will ease the tension between them, in more ways than one. Both Sabrina and Matt are anti-relationship due to their upbringing; although from very different perspectives. I loved Sabrina's emotional growth throughout Hard Sell, the way in which she accepted her emotions and made herself vulnerable was awe inspiring. Even her mindset regarding failure/rejection as lessons to learn and grow from added a layer of positivity to the occasions negative situation.  Luckily, for both Sabrina and Matt, they have a wonderful circle of friends who aren't afraid to interfere when they deem it necessary. Providing Matt with the intervention required in order to have the much-needed epiphany about his feelings even if they do scare him, lol.  I am so excited to see what happens when Kennedy is brought to his knees in, Huge Deal!!!!
