Despre această carte audio

This is the story behind the greatest manhunt in the history of Las Vegas ...

In 1972, The Night Stalker took America by storm, becoming the highest-rated TV movie at the time and spawning a second movie and a cult series, all starring Darren McGavin. The story of a blood-sucking psycho on the loose in Sin City started with a then-unpublished novel by Las Vegas reporter Jeff Rice.

Now, after years of being out of print, Monstrous Books presents this restored version of the book that launched one of the most beloved and influential characters in TV history.

The book also features a foreword by David Dastmalchian (Late Night With the Devil, Count Crowley), an afterword by Rodney Barnes (Killadelphia), and a profile on Jeff Rice by Mark Dawidziak (The Kolchak Companion).

Despre autor

Jeff Rice (1944–2015) was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and was best known as the creator of Carl Kolchak, the hard-nosed reporter / monster hunter that inspired such TV shows as The X-Files.

David Dastmalchian is the star of the indie horror hit Late Night With the Devil and the creator of the comic book series Count Crowley. He’s also appeared in such movies as Dune, Oppenheimer, The Suicide Squad, and The Dark Knight.

Mark Dawidziak is the author or editor of some twenty-five books, including three studies of landmark television series: The Columbo Phile: A Casebook, The Night Stalker Companion, and Everything I Need to Know I Learned in The Twilight Zone, his lighthearted 2017 tribute to Rod Serling’s classic anthology series. He also is an internationally recognized Mark Twain scholar, and five of his books are about the iconic American writer. He spent forty-three years as a television, film, and theater critic at such newspapers as the Akron Beacon Journal and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. His work on the horror side of the street also includes the novel Grave Secrets, The Bedside, Bathtub & Armchair Companion to Dracula, short stories, and comic book scripts.

William Katt is an actor, director, and writer in film and television, the son of Hollywood actors Bill Williams and Barbara Hale. He has been a finalist for the Photoplay and TV Land awards and was named best actor by Mountain Film Festival for his performance in the 2009 movie Deadland. He is also the creator of a line of comic books.
