Following the Fall of Acre, Landry, Godfrey, and the other survivors of the siege flee in a sailboat across the Mediterranean. Drifting for weeks, they try to land on Cyprus only to run into a dangerous Mamluk detachment. Running dangerously low on supplies, they are forced to take to the seas once more. Trying to land on the coastline of Turkey, they are ambushed by pirates and taken captive. David B. Coe is winner of the William L. Crawford Award for his first series, the LonTobyn Chronicle. He is also author of the popular Winds of the Forelands series. He lives on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee.
James Langton trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. An AudioFile Earphones Award winner, he has performed many voice-overs and narrated numerous audiobooks, including the international bestseller The Brotherhood of the Holy Shroud by Julia Navarro. He is also a professional musician who led the internationally renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra from 1996 to 2002. James was born in York, England, and is now based in New York City.
