Nearly a year has passed since Steve and Sarah Miller discovered Lentari through a magical portal in their own home in Idaho. But, as kids will do, Mikal sneaks through the portal to try to help, and his presence in Lentari becomes known. And it's the crown prince who is the real target of the Lentarian king's enemies.
Rescuing the queen, battling thieving invaders, outsmarting repulsive trolls, and trying to stay one step ahead of someone who is bent on acquiring Mikal at all costs, Steve and Sarah must use all the powers at their disposal to keep their young charge safe. Teaming up with Rhenyon, the captain of the king's guards, they set out, little knowing they will encounter trolls, griffins, and an evil wizard who is intent on stealing their special powers. Infiltrating the wizard's lair is not for the faint of heart, and the couple find themselves in the midst of more action than they bargained for in the magical kingdom of Lentari.
