Elaine Forrestal lives and works in the beach suburb of Scarborough, Western Australia, where she shares a house with her husband, Peter. She enjoys swimming, walking, reading, travelling and catching up with her many friends in different parts of the world. Elaine has had magazine articles and short stories published, and she has also written for children's television. Her novel Someone Like Me won the Western Australian Young Readers' Hoffman Award and also the 1998 Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award for Younger Readers.

Peter Hardy has performed for theatre, television and film, in bands and on radio. He toured The Tempest in Bali and The French Revolution through Australia. He has performed the one-man play Chasing Rabbits in Melbourne and New York, as well as performing in the hit musical Mamma Mia.
