Gemma and Kit's childhood was overshadowed by their father's conviction for murdering their mother. Gabrielle Craig Lord is an Australian writer who has been described as Australia's first lady of crime. She has published a wide range of writing including reviews, articles, short stories and non-fiction, but she is best known for her psychological thrillers.

Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, Nicki Paull has worked extensively in film, television, radio and theatre both in Australia and in the UK. Her voice has been heard on numerous documentaries and she has narrated a number of Bolinda audiobooks.
