About this audiobook

New York Times bestseller Dianna Love’s Beladors are back with a special story for Evalle and Storm!

To bond or not to bond should be a simple question, but nothing is ever easy in the life of this particular Belador and Skinwalker couple.

Evalle cheated death after Storm and her friends pulled her from a brutal imprisonment in another realm only to now end up unable to shift into her gryphon. Against his better judgment, Storm agrees to hold off on bonding while they travel to Arizona to help his uncle figure out what is behind an unnatural death on the reservation. The more powers Evalle loses, the more she realizes linking to Storm could be lethal. As the investigation takes an unexpected turn, Evalle jumps at a chance to regain her gryphon and powers in an all-or-none gamble, but makes a deadly mistake. Storm has a breakthrough on the unnatural deaths only to realize he’s put a target on Evalle’s back.

Dianna Love's stories always leave me speechless. I feel like this one had an even more profound impact because it has been a long time coming. Storm and Evalle have always been special. To see them get this story, and to have it done so well, gives me the warm, fuzzy feelings you get when you see people you love happy. I've been rooting for them since the beginning of the series, and when I looked back to see when that was, I realized I've known them longer than some of my close friends in "real" life. This novella packed the punch of a novel. Taking Evalle and Storm out of Atlanta for this book was a great decision. I liked seeing the different culture and more of Storm's heritage and family. The way Love brought Evalle into the story was genius. I was wondering how things were going to play out, because she was in quite the pickle, and I didn't think it was a good time for a vacay, but of course, Dianna made it work. I've probably said it before, but I'll say it again. You can't go wrong with a Dianna Love book, especially the Belador Series. The stories are strong, the characters are captivating, and it's easy to become enamored with them. Now is a great time to jump into the Belador world. Each book can stand on it's own, but they are all so magnificent, do yourself a favor and binge this series. As a side note, I also listened to the audiobook of this story. It was wonderful! The narration was perfect. I love when a narrator comes through crystal clear, and adds in a little extra allure to a good story. I don't think any performance could have been better than the one Stephen Thorne did. So don't be afraid to check out the audiobook as well.
