Never Defy a Vixen

This is a change in circumstances and good historical romance. Lady Wilhelmina, the daughter of and earl finds herself in charge of her three sisters and brother. she told to seek out the help of a duke who ends up being much older and awful. He demands marriage and she has no choice. Fate seems to help her along but she ends up faced with Zachary, the new Duke of Graystone. Upon meeting her, he is intrigued. This is a good story that I enjoyed.

This is the first novella in The Neverhartts Series, a Regency Romance. This is a Series of interconnected stories. The story of Wilhelmina (Billie) and Zachary (Zach) is beautifully written, and fast-paced. After the passing of their parents, and for the sake of her siblings, Billie had no other choice than to marry the Duke of Graystone (Zach's uncle), an old man. Her new husband passed away unexpectedly on their wedding day. Billie is a wonderful character, strong, caring, and supportive. Zach, the new Duke of Graystone, is handsome, grumpy, possessive, and protective. I liked their banter, and their push and pull relationship. The supporting characters are interesting, and I can't wait to know more about Billie's siblings, Theodora, Christiana, Carolina, and Damon. I liked Fox, the Marquess of Foxworth! Penny Scott-Andrews did a fantastic job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice, perfect for this Regency Romance. I enjoyed it. This is a great start to the Series. Looking forward to listen to Never Disregard a Wallflower, Theodora's story, the next book in the Series.
