I’m always looking for new worlds to explore and be the hero… I mean, write the hero!
I’ve always been an avid reader with a big imagination. I spent a lot of my youth illegally reading at night with a torch. Now that my kids do the same thing, it’s really hard to work out how to discipline them for that!
A few years ago, I was looking around for ways of improving my mental health and I discovered the joy and benefit of handwriting. I transitioned back to a bunch of work practices I used in the early to mid 2000s before I had a smart phone.
It was awesome! My mental clarity and memory improved, and I discovered a love of fine paper and fountain pens. But I still wanted more. So, I wrote my day dreams. Mostly me in various periods of history solving problems with sword fights. Some of this writing turned into longer stories and so I had a go at writing a novel and it wasn’t long until I was hooked!
Now, writing novels is a serious hobby of mine. I’m looking to make sense of the world through my writing. It’s also fun to connect EPIC sword fights with character development and setting.
When I’m not writing, I serve as a pastor in a Presbyterian Church. I see my role as equipping God’s people to be ready and raring to serve Jesus.
