One of the things that I appreciated about this book is that it takes a practical approach to learning about amateur radio. The author provides step-by-step instructions for setting up a radio station and making contacts, as well as practical tips for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment. The book also includes a section on common mistakes and pitfalls to avoid, which can be helpful for new operators.

Wow, Ham Radio is rock. The General License Guide To Understand Equipment And Become A Radio Amateur The Fast And Easy Way. I was equally surprised to learn that travelers use ham radio operations to broadcast and share information about destinations around the world. Lots and lots of information. An all-inclusive book which shares info on how to get the different levels of Ham Operator's Licenses, including the easy testing. Operating a ham radio is fun, and most people's interest in amateur radios are driven by the fun aspect of it. Aside from the excitement, amateur radio could be very helpful in emergency situations, especially when other services are unavailable. A typical example of an emergency case is the 1992 Hurricane Andrew that hit South Florida. It destroyed the common means of communication; its antennas, utility grid, and cellular networks were all destroyed leaving victims almost helpless. At that time, amateur radio was the only source of communication and some payphones that were connected with underground lines. They are also used for many other community services.

I like to define the radio amateur as someone who is capable of communicating by his own means with any part of the world and, if you hurry me, even outside of it THIS COURSE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT BECAUSE IF WE ANALYZE OR IF some night we get to look at the stars and wondering what part of the world they will be watching from the International Space Station, we could never leave doubts neither with WhatsApp nor with Telegram. Not even with Twitter. If we wanted to ask the astronauts, we would have to use a radio station. There is an unofficial slogan that says something like "If all else fails: amateur radio." It serves as a reminder that when a disaster strikes an area and its communication infrastructures are destroyed, it is possible to regain communication thanks to radio stations and local radio amateurs. It is enough with a radio equipment, an antenna and a power source to power this small infrastructure, then study to take care of all of these scenarios
