Even after the legendary evacuation from Dunkirk in June 1940 there were still large British formations fighting the Germans alongside their French allies. It also addresses the military, political, and human drama of France's collapse in June 1940, and how the windfall of captured military equipment, fuel, and industrial resources enhanced the Third Reich's ability to attack its next foe-the Soviet Union.

Robert Forczyk has a PhD in international relations and national security from the University of Maryland, and a strong background in European and Asian military history. A retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, Dr. Forczyk is currently a consultant in the Washington, D.C. area.
Michael Page has been recording audiobooks since the mid-1980s and now has nearly 500 titles to his credit. He has won two Audie Awards and several AudioFile Earphones Awards. A PhD and a professional actor, Michael is also a retired professor of theater.
