About the author
Alicia J. Akins is a writer and recovering expat based in DC. After living and working in Asia for five years, she considers it a second home. She is a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies student at RTS, Washington, and serves as a deaconess in her church, Grace DC Downtown.
Madeline McCray is an actress, writer, producer, wellness activist, narrator, and lifestylecoach. She's known for producing international performing arts festivals, conference panels on domestic violence, and mental health awareness forums. McCray is also the author of the self-help book Healthy Women Rock.
