helpful illustrations for the general public on the effectiveness of different kinds of US intervention in middle east conflicts. offers examples of the variations in effectiveness of diplomatic support vs bombing or drone attacks. also provides a case study of the ability of American democratic influence inside the US to change US foreign policy. The beginning of the book is a chronology of the Yemen conflict. very helpful to have as an audiobook as well!

Alexandra Stark is an associate policy researcher at the RAND Corporation and a fellow at New America's International Security Program. Her award-winning work has been published in academic and public outlets.
