About this audiobook

She’s detached from her emotions. He’s sworn off love. When their attraction is instant, can they bury the past and unearth happily ever after?

Sarah Carter avoids attachments at all costs. Leaving behind her small-town Alaskan home after the presumed-fatal disappearance of her boyfriend, she keeps people at a distance in fear of reliving the pain. So when her mom needs assistance running the lodge after an injury, she’s less than thrilled to return to the Land of the Midnight Sun—even if the hired help catches her eye.

Will Brooks is in shock. Thinking himself contentedly married right up until his wife handed him divorce papers, the successful construction contractor heads north to get his head straight and hires on with a gorgeous brunette. And though the last thing the wounded man wants is a relationship, one look at the curvy little cutie has his heart making other plans.

Despite her reservations, Sarah falls hard for the blue-eyed hunk until an unwelcome revelation shatters her trust. While Will has his fresh start turned upside down, and he fears his lovely boss’s pulling back reinforces he’s truly meant to be alone.

Can two hurting souls face their troubles together and find a second chance for happiness?

A Darling Handyman is the feel-good first book in the Darling Men series of Alaskan small-town romances. If you like kind and generous heroes, tiny-village backdrops, and more humor than steam, then you’ll adore this duet narration journey to the Last Frontier.

This is a good story about Sarah and Will. It is the first story in the "Darling Men" series. The story is about two people who have sworn off relationship due to their past dealings and experiences. Their journey is emotion with loss, love and redemption. I listened to the audio book and thought the narrations was nicely down.

This story was an easy read, fun and romantic without being too graphic. The story still had a deeper meaning, which I liked. I liked the side characters just as much as the main characters. They’re hilarious! I actually took a cruise to Alaska before, and the writing makes you feel like you’re really there! I listened to the audiobook too, and wow. It was really good. Two narrators make a huge difference! Grabbed the next book in this series as soon as I finished this one. More Darling, please

Loved the dual narration of John Joseph Rogers and Julie Cleburn Sarah moved back to her small hometown in Alaska. She left running from it to Los Angeles after something tragic happened. Will ends up in Alaska as a handy man, after his wife divorces him, takes half his company and marries his now ex friend. So he ends up ad the Inn that Sara and her family own. Both have to deal with there pasts, to move from friendship to something more. Not helped by Will’s crazy OTT ex wife turns up.
