Good selection high quality streams, but extremely buggy with downloads, problems persistent for multiple years. Not progressing, only partially downloading lists, or 'forgetting' downloads while still using storage on phone. And unable to login to community, pressing login button just go to create account, but email ofcourse already in use. Old answers just sending you in spiral, e.g. delete everything, try again, turn offline mode on, try again. Wasted huge amount of mobile data over the years

the app uses way too much data, even when set to basic audio quality, i get shown a 'HIFI' box in the bottom left of my song, Spotify on the other hand uses tons less data, and is quicker with providing songs, I made the mistake of trying to download songs on mobile data thinking that, like Spotify, deezer wouldn't use that much data, but it quickly used 6GB of data in the span of a few minutes trying to download at basic quality :/ this is a shame for I was keen to try an alternative to spotify

Hello, Deezer's high data usage is due to its HiFi quality and feature-rich experience, even on basic audio settings. This quality comes with higher data consumption compared to Spotify. For lower data usage, consider downloading on Wi-Fi or adjusting settings to ensure HiFi is off. Deezer prioritizes quality, which unfortunately uses more data.

While it tends to work, there are a lot of problematic edge cases. The desktop app works so poorly I STOPPED using that. On all devices I routinely get a "an unexpected error has occurred" and sometimes playback cannot resume at all via widgets/audio dropdown. When importing from Spotify it also used versions of tracks identical to ones that are available but which are "not available in your Country" while all of them are. The only reason to use it is the better quality than Spotify.
