This app provides some unique features such as audio pronunciation, word of origin and extra examples that are of help to English learners. It's also possible to create my own folders to collect and review new words during acquisition, which would facilitate language learning on a daily basis in an efficient way. A feedback of improvement on flexibility, hopefully the folder name in 'favorites' can be still changed and the word order in each list can be adjusted by dragging in future version.

Fix the following please: when you tap on a word used in a definition or example sentence, you can't go back to the previous word. For example, when you have looked up the verb 'chop', of which the first definition is 'to cut something into pieces with a sharp tool such as a knife'. When you tap on the word 'cut' to see its definition and then touch the back button, it will take you back to the search instead of the definition of 'chop'.

Thank you for your comment. We have removed the Back button after careful consideration to make the interface clearer and because the History feature was providing the same functionality. Best wishes, the Oxford Learner's Dictionaries team

Prohibitively expensive. That's OALD in a nutshell. I've purchased the ninth and the tenth editions and the only upside is that you can download the content and view it when you're offline. The thing is, with internet connectivity getting better and rivals getting better, you don't really need it unless a dictionary is part of your professional requirement. Now, if they'd bundled at least a Thesaurus, I'd have given a glowing five-star review. The app also needs to be faster.
