Hybrid Animals

I played this in 2018 and it was really good but after reinstalling it looks like the devs milked it dry. I used to get only optional ads, now every 5 minutes I get a forced ad. There is pay to win everywhere, lootboxes and chests skip progression to the point where you might as well not play normally anymore. Progression suddenly requires you to find existing workbenches instead of being able to create your own, and half the world is protected and can't be interacted with normally.

I've been playing this game since its early days, and I must say that Hybrid Animals is nothing short of a fond part of my internet life. However, I've recently noticed that AI-generated imagery has been used in item sprites. In my opinion, this made the game lose its charm as a passion project. The developer is more than capable of making good art; why did they choose such a cheap and lifeless tactic? I know that real art takes time and energy, but using AI is just not the right way.

The game is relaxing and easy to play. There are imperfections or glitches in game but it's not bad. At first a lot of ads popped up(not annoying bcs it's skipable) but I always play in offline mode so no problem. Going further and further the enemy also getting dangerous, luckily I have two companion to help me. I'm using my companion as extra inventory. Some furniture is locked and need gem or money to unlock, it's too cheap for 3-4 stuff furniture might as well buy it for free😪
