I feel that the app is developing backwards. While I cna accept that the app is slow to load and uses a lot of data, changes in the commenting system and overall stability are harder to accept. Currently, the app crashes seemingly at random, and whenever I want to sort comments. The dark mode that used to work well in previous versions has become a hot mess, with some elements in dark and others I light colors (again, comments).

While I love some parts of the app experience, I despise some other choices. I don't like how different parts of the app, such as the comment section, are simply embedded web pages. This makes the use flow clunky and incoherent, as the embedded interface hardly matches the base app's (specially dark mode). The settings page doesn't match the dark mode preference. I wish the ePaper would be available in the app, as the available web app doesn't work smoothly. I do like the interface and design.

Annoying flaw in the way discussion threads works: opening up a conversation to a sub-conversation causes the app to completely lose the place in the thread upon return to the main thread, causing the reader to find himself all the way back at the beginning of the conversation often many pages back. On long threads this will cause you to spend ages on finding to where you left off just because of unfolding a few extra comments that were hidden. Update: received a tech support email reply with no grasp of the issue, even after repeated emails back and forth. Now six months plus after pointing out the usability bug in the comments section still no fix.

Hi Pieter ten Bosch, we're sorry you're having this issue with comments. The comments system is new so there's a few teething troubles that unfortunately have made it live. We have raised your issue with the third party developer and they have assured us that it's now on their backlog to fix. Thanks.
