It's a pretty good game so far. I like the mechanics and battle concepts. It's a shame this was created with so many predatory micro transactions. In another era this game would be more strategic with formations and less about paying to win. The game really is cool but I get the feeling that you just have to pay and advance, if this were made 20 years ago it would have been more challenging with how you set everything up. The prices are ridiculous and it's really a shame.

There are a tonne of games and apps that bombard you with adverts and prompts to pay. This is not one of them. It's a good time waster. I'm making steady progress, daily levelling up, and not had to spend a penny. I choose to watch a few adverts to boost rewards and thereby "purchase" 120k cards, but it's a choice. Adverts are not forced down your throat. There are a few modes of play, some of which unlock at levels 250 and 300 (IIRC). It took me a couple of days to gets to level 300.

Playing for 7 months now dispassionate and extremely slow development (months btwn updates), player-hostile updates, slow bug fixes, poor QoL, minimal gameplay outside of arena/headhunt. also a cheating problem in arena but unclear how widespread it is. also also, has fake "X"s when watching ads which force-opens the play store and doesn't give you the reward (while also force-closing the game). There's almost a really good game here but seemingly no interest in getting there
