About this game

Collect Pokémon Through Sleeping!

In the world of Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon with the same sleep type as you will gather around as you catch some Zs, so discover all the various different sleep styles that Pokémon can have as you aim to complete your Sleep Style Dex!

What A Day Looks Like in Pokémon Sleep

■ When Night Falls...
It’s time to track your sleep! All you need to do is place your smart device by your pillow (don’t place your device under your pillow or blankets as it may overheat), then call it a night. You can also play using sleep data tracked via your smartwatch.

■ A New Day Dawns
By the time you wake, Pokémon will have gathered in Pokémon Sleep based on your sleep type and how long you slept for. Carry out research on these Pokémon’s sleep styles to complete your Sleep Style Dex!

■ And the Rest of the Day...
Raise Snorlax big and strong! Snorlax will grow larger by receiving Berries from the Pokémon you befriend. The more you raise Snorlax, the greater your odds will be of encountering Pokémon with rare sleep styles!

Rest Your Very Best!

■ Check Your Sleep Report
What kind of sleep did you get last night? Your sleep report contains tidbits like how long you took to fall asleep, how long you spent in different sleep stages, and whether you snored or talked in your sleep.

■ Get Support to try to Sleep Your Best
You can have Pokémon at your side even when you sleep! With features like Pokémon-inspired music to relax you into sleep, plus smart alarms that wake you when you’re in a shallow stage of sleep, Pokémon Sleep may help you to rest your very best.

■ Smartwatch Pairing
By linking with Health Connect, you can use sleep data tracked through certain smartwatches to play Pokémon Sleep.

I love this app! It works well and is really fun. The sleep tracking doesn't work sometimes but it's not too big of an issue. However, I hate when I'll stop my sleep tracking and there'll be an update that I wasn't aware of. Then once I update the app, it'll say that my sleep data couldn't be found because "the app was closed", even when it wasn't. Edit: The next update should make this offline-capable; so many problems would be solved.

I used to enjoy the app but so far in 2025 it has been messing up. The only way to catch Pokemon is to log sleep. If the app restarted in the middle of the night, no sleep is logged. No sleep, no Pokemon. I understand that updates and app maintenance need to happen but perhaps the middle of the night on a sleep tracker is a bad idea. I'm getting sick of waking up to a plugged in, fully charged phone with no sleep data.

The game itself is awesome and the art style and sounds are soothing in true pokemon fashion. My issue is progression. You accrue points and gems exponentially slowly & often run out of biscuits so you're stuck unable to catch pokemon for dex and leveling which makes customizing your experience that much harder. One great biscuit and there's all your sleep points and/or gems. We need more ways to gather resources including cooking ingredients or a rebalance of the existing system imo.
